K spent the day with Daddy and A and I spent the day together. We often do this on the weekends -- we call it "divide and conquer" -- and it is so nice to have one on one time with the girls. This last weekend I took A to a music festival where we listened to the orchestra, and then A had the opportunity to play the various stringed instruments. She is really eager to play an instrument, but formal music instruction doesn't start in her school until 5th grade. Private lessons are extremely pricey in our area. Witnessing her enthusiasm for music makes it hard for me to deny her, though. I'm really struggling with what to do.
