I sat at a desk just like this. Maybe this very desk. I was surprised to see all the same desks and chairs from when I was there 30+ years ago. All scratched up and rusty inside, with tops scarred by many scissors and pencils, they do have that great adjustable leg height feature. I remember at the begining of the school year the janitor always had to be called in to adjust my desk up a few notches since I was so much taller than my classmates.
